Health Information Systems

The International Diploma Program “Health Information Systems: Requirements for Successful Design and Implementation” aims to bridge the communication gap between clinical and IT teams within healthcare systems by providing tools that facilitate a better understanding of the needs and perspectives of both groups.

The program aims to develop advanced competencies in Health Information Systems (HIS), providing participants with the knowledge and tools needed to design IT solutions, apply management methodologies and project-based approaches to their implementation, and understand fundamental concepts related to interoperability and telemedicine. In this way, the program seeks to contribute to improved clinical management and the use of data for epidemiological and public health purposes.

The program is designed for clinical professionals, IT specialists, managers, and other healthcare stakeholders who need to understand and apply interdisciplinary tools for the design, implementation, and effective use of health information systems.

Clinical professionals interested in gaining a better understanding of the operation, design, and use of health information systems, as well as those seeking to strengthen communication with IT teams and actively participate in digital transformation processes.

Objective

This Diploma Program aims to provide essential tools to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and bridge the communication gap between clinical and IT teams, thereby supporting the generation of reliable, complete, and timely information in the healthcare sector.

Certification

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate from the University of Chile and a certificate from Heidelberg University.

Important:
Some classes will be taught in English; therefore, an intermediate level of English (approximately B1) is required.
