HealthTech Bridges: Germany and Chile Advancing Digital Health Together

July 30, 2025 – Santiago, Chile — The international event HealthTech Bridges: Germany and Chile Advancing Digital Health Together, held on Monday, July 28 at the Heidelberg Center Latin America, was a key milestone in fostering technological and academic collaboration in digital health between Germany and Chile.

Organized in collaboration with the State of Bavaria’s Office for South America and the Master's Program in Medical Informatics at the University of Chile, the event brought together public, private, and academic leaders. Julia Ott from Bayern Innovativ presented Bavaria’s strong healthcare innovation ecosystem and highlighted the region’s focus on digitalization, funding support, and internationalization.

The program also featured cutting-edge presentations from German MedTech companies:

• Geratherm, with over a century of experience, showcased advanced diagnostic tools for respiratory and cardiopulmonary monitoring, including its SRA® system for early detection of atrial fibrillation.
• deepc introduced deepcOS, a certified AI platform already analyzing over 20,000 medical images in Chilean hospitals, improving diagnostics and clinical efficiency through integrated workflows.
• Acto GmbH presented its innovative wound care line Actolind®, which combines antimicrobial and cleansing components to deliver effective and safe treatment for various wound types.

The event concluded with academic insights from the Joint Master’s Program in Medical Informatics (University of Chile, Heidelberg University, and Heilbronn University), emphasizing the importance of international education and collaboration in building future digital health leaders.
