CommunicationTrainee from Germany

My name is Jana Lena Anders and I am from Germany.
I did my Bachelor of Arts “Translation Studies” at the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg. During my studies I studied German, Spanish and French. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to gain extensive experience abroad, so I will now study “Specialized Translation and Translation Technologies” in the double degree program M.A. Translation, Communication and Language Technology at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

The Spanish language has always fascinated me, and during my studies I became increasingly interested in Latin America. The variety of research courses also piques my interest. Therefore, I am excited to do this double master's program. Furthermore, I have the opportunity to do an internship at the Heidelberg Center Latin America (HCLA) in Santiago de Chile. I think such collaborations are good for the cooperation between different countries and I would like to be part of it. In particular, I would like to improve the relations between my home country and Latin America.
