The Heidelberg Center for Latin America celebrates the election of professors from the LL.M. in the Board of SoChiDI.
The coordinator and three faculty members of the Master in International Law (LL.M.) have been elected to be part of the new 2024-2026 board of the Chilean Society of International Law (SoChiDI). This election reflects the commitment and academic excellence that characterize the Master's program.
María Gabriela De Abreu, a graduate of the master's program and its current coordinator, will assume the role of treasurer, while the other elected members are:
President: Jaime Tijmes, recognized for his work in international trade law.
Second Vice President: Andrés Delgado Casteleiro, a specialist in international trade and investment law.
Director: Ivette Esis, an expert in international investment law.
The inclusion of these academics in the SoChiDI board underscores the importance of the LL.M., which was inaugurated in 2004 and accredited in both Germany and Chile, where the program received 8 years of accreditation from the National Accreditation Commission. To date, 345 students from over 30 countries have obtained their degrees in this postgraduate program, thus forming a privileged international network of legal professionals.
