Física Médica Master's and PhD Programs in Medical Physics
The topic “Medical Physics” is integrated into the following Master's Programs at Heidelberg University.
- On the one hand, students can choose their specialization in Medical Physics during their Master's Program in Physics at the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
- Secondly, the Medical Faculty Mannheim of Heidelberg University offers a Master's Program in Biomedical Engineering.
Depending on the Bachelor's Degree and own interests, students can choose their master's program that suits them best. Master's theses for both programs can be written in research groups of our Division of Medical Physics in Radiation Oncology (Head: Prof. Jäkel) at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ).
Further information on the structured international PhD program at the DKFZ can be found on the website of the DKFZ International PhD Program in Heidelberg. Depending on the focus of the PhD project in Medical Physics, the doctorate can be awarded by Heidelberg University (Department of Physics and Astronomy, Medical Faculty Heidelberg or Medical Faculty Mannheim) or another university with the right to award doctorates.
